Sunday Afternoon Concert In
The Park Featuring
BILLY BONES!
Back by Popular Demand!
  |
|
|
Billy Bones is South Florida's premier contemporary musician and
entertainer. He is a talented artist who doesn't hesitate to
showcase his superb abilities as a vocalist and on the
saxophones, flute, harmonicas, and percussives. Billy's show
features popular covers as well as exciting original songs
guaranteed to please any audience. Every song is produced to the
max unlike acts with long song lists full of quickly arranged
and poorly presented songs. Billy has built his business by
converting those who trust only in multi-piece bands! In his
live show, Billy Bones uses the latest in cutting edge
technology to produce the sound of a great multi-piece band
backing up his enormous live talent. He is the only solo act
that has been placed at festivals and venues that only use
multi-piece bands, typically with better results. His intuitive
skill for entertaining various audiences and use of wireless
technology to get out in the crowd enhance an already exciting
experience of amazing talent and occasional humor. The show is
always shifted on the spot to the taste of the audience, whether
it be pop, jazz, rock, rhythm & blues, or tropical.
Billy Bones has performed at the largest South Florida events
such as West Palm Beach's Sunfest, Delray Beach's
Garlic Fest, Orlando's Disney World, The Suntrust
Concert Series, Artigras, and others. He has
performed at most feature venues in Miami's South Beach, Fort
Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches. Billy is often invited to play
his soaring renditions of The National Anthem and
America The Beautiful at stadiums and arenas for the Florida
Marlins, the Miami Heat, and at Nascar races.

Scott Benge
 |
|
Performing at the Gazebo Stage
Saturday, February 27th - 3 pm - 5 pm
Born in Gainesville, Florida,
Scott has been an active fixture on the Treasure Coast music
scene since moving here from Fort Myers in 1991. Scott began
playing guitar at the age of eight and started performing in
public the following year. Almost completely self-taught,
Scott has wide ranging influences including bluegrass, folk,
classical, and progressive rock. A founding member of Fort
Myers area bands No Sweat and XLNC as well as Treasure Coast
groups Crossbone and SWS, Scott has delighted audiences for
years with his passionate style that ranges from soaring and
powerful to tender and delicate. Over the years, he has shared
the stage with many top performers including Hootie And The
Blowfish, Lisa Loeb, Dave Mason, The Outlaws, Foghat,
Survivor, and The Guess Who. While playing as a solo
performer, he is not above using modern technology to enhance
the natural talent that he possesses. While some parts may
sound "pre-recorded", all sounds are generated live and on the
spot. Currently, Scott is at work on his first original
project in a decade, with a release being tentatively
scheduled before the end of the year. |

Carl Adams
 |
|
Performing at the
Art Gallery Tent
Saturday, February 27th -
10 am - 5 pm
Carl Adams is a nationally recognized flutist and flute educator
who had a dual career as a university music professor and concert
flutist. His professional life began when he was selected to be a
first-flutist in the United States Military Academy Band (West
Point) upon
graduating from college.
Perhaps the most significant of his performance opportunities came
when he was asked to join Siegel Music Management, Inc. as their
concert flutist. As a result, he found himself giving solo
performances at establishments such as the Kennedy Center, New
York’s Carnegie Recital Hall and the Chautauqua Institution.
During this period, the New York Times reviewed him as an “artful,
elegant” flutist.
His dual career afforded him the opportunity to take early
retirement from an active pace. Today he continues his
professional involvement by maintaining a small teaching studio;
accepting a limited number of performances and teaching occasional
master classes. He also enjoys playing casual engagements such as
private parties and restaurants as both a classical and jazz
flutist.
